FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We understand that every home or business is different; and so are your glass and glazing needs. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions we get about our services across the Waikato region.

Do you offer window glass replacement in the Waikato region?

Yes — we provide window glass replacement for homes, rentals, and businesses right across the Waikato. Whether it’s a cracked pane or a full window break, our qualified glaziers can replace it quickly and safely. We also offer 24/7 emergency glass repairs for after-hours situations.

How quickly can you replace broken glass?

In most cases, we can respond within a few hours - especially for local areas such as Matamata, Cambridge, Te Aroha, Morrinsville, and Tokoroa. If the correct glass isn’t immediately available, we’ll secure your property and return for a full replacement as soon as possible.

Can you repair commercial or shopfront glass?

Absolutely. We handle shopfront glass replacement, industrial glazing, and heavy machinery windows. Our team can also assist after ram raids or vandalism with secure boarding and emergency repairs.

What’s the retrofit double glazing cost?

The retrofit double glazing cost depends on the size of your windows, type of framing, and access to the site. On average, retrofitting existing aluminum windows is far more affordable than replacing them entirely. For an accurate price, we offer free on-site quotes throughout the Waikato.

Can you double glaze wooden windows?

For wooden villas and heritage homes, we use a special aluminium insert window system. This keeps your original wooden frame while adding energy-efficient double glazing. It’s the only cost-effective way to double glaze older wooden joinery.

How much energy can I save with double glazing?

Double glazing can significantly reduce heat loss in winter and help keep your home cooler in summer. Many of our Waikato customers notice a drop in heating costs and improved comfort year-round.

Do you install frameless glass balustrades?

Yes, we supply and install frameless glass balustrades for decks, balconies, and staircases throughout the Waikato. These balustrades are made with toughened safety glass and high-quality fittings for a clean, modern finish that doesn’t block your view. We also install frameless showers and custom splashbacks.

Are frameless glass balustrades safe?

Absolutely. All our frameless glass balustrades meet New Zealand safety standards. We use laminated or toughened safety glass depending on your installation requirements, ensuring strength and long-term durability.

Do you offer dog door installation in Matamata?

Yes, we provide dog door installations throughout the Waikato region. We install both standard and microchip-activated pet doors for dogs and cats, and can fit them into glass, wood, or security doors.

What brands of pet doors do you recommend?

We mainly use SureFlap for microchip-operated models and Pet Corp for standard doors - both reliable, pet-safe, and available in colours to match your joinery.

Do you offer free quotes?

Yes. We provide free, no-obligation quotes for all glazing, locksmith, and fly screen services.

Which areas do you service?

We’re based in Matamata and service all surrounding areas including Morrinsville, Cambridge, Te Aroha, Tokoroa, Putaruru, and Tirau, as well as the wider Waikato region.

Do you offer after-hours or emergency services?

Yes. Our team is available 24/7 for emergency glass repairs and emergency locksmith callouts.
